Karlebo XXL Pendant Lamp by Skaarup & Jespersen for Fog & Mørup
The Karlebo is one of the most distinctive lighting designs produced by Fog & Mørup during the 1970s. Designed by Skaarup & Jespersen, its layered construction reflects the Danish approach to lighting: controlling and softening the light while creating a sculptural object that remains elegant even when switched off.
This oversized example immediately commands attention. The wide circular shade appears to float around the central diffuser, while the layered construction directs light downward without glare. A subtle halo of light escapes around the centre, adding warmth and depth to the room. Whether suspended above a large dining table, in a living space or within an entrance hall, the Karlebo offers both presence and beautifully balanced illumination.
Finished in its original white lacquer, the lamp has been carefully cleaned, inspected and fitted with a new 1.5 metre white textile-covered cable, making it ready for everyday use.

Condition
The lamp is in very good vintage condition with light signs of age consistent with careful use. It has been thoroughly cleaned, fully inspected and is ready to hang.
Karlebo XXL Hanglamp door Skaarup & Jespersen voor Fog & Mørup
De Karlebo behoort tot de meest karakteristieke verlichtingsontwerpen die Fog & Mørup in de jaren zeventig produceerde. Ontworpen door Skaarup & Jespersen laat deze lamp perfect zien waar Deens lichtontwerp om bekendstaat: een doordachte gelaagde constructie die het licht verzacht en tegelijkertijd een sculpturaal object creëert dat ook overdag indruk maakt.
Dit XXL-uitvoering is een echte blikvanger. De brede ronde kap lijkt rondom de centrale diffuser te zweven, terwijl de verschillende schijven het licht gelijkmatig naar beneden verspreiden zonder te verblinden. Rond de kern ontsnapt bovendien een subtiele lichtgloed die de ruimte extra warmte geeft. Boven een grote eettafel, in een woonkamer of in een ruime hal komt dit ontwerp volledig tot zijn recht.
De lamp is uitgevoerd in de originele witte lak en is zorgvuldig gereinigd, volledig gecontroleerd en voorzien van een nieuw wit textielsnoer van 1,5 meter, zodat hij direct klaar is voor gebruik.

De lamp verkeert in een zeer goede vintage staat met lichte gebruikssporen passend bij de leeftijd. Volledig gereinigd, gecontroleerd en direct klaar voor gebruik.

Courier costs are not calculated automatically, as they depend on the destination and the size of the item. Once your order has been placed, I'll get in touch with you to discuss the available transport options and provide a quotation before anything is arranged.
