How it all started!

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my small business website. My name is Arjen van der Kevie. I’m 37 years old and live in Utrecht with my two dachshunds, Toast and Bagel. Bagel joined the family quite recently, but the business is named after my first dog, Toast!

The story of Toast’s Vintage Finds began when I moved into my own place again after a long-term relationship. Decorating a house from scratch on a tight budget led me to dive into thrifting—and I loved it! There’s something so rewarding about driving around the country, meeting people, exploring shops, and uncovering hidden treasures.

At first, I thrifted mostly for myself, but soon people began admiring the items I had in my home. One day, after upgrading to a new wall lamp, I decided to sell the old one on Marktplaats. It sold so quickly that it sparked an idea:

“What if I could turn this into a business?”

Fast forward two years, and here we are! I now have my very own showroom in Vinkeveen. I’m thrilled to fill the space with my finds, connect with customers, and see what exciting opportunities 2025 will bring for Toast’s Vintage Finds.
