⭐️ 7 vintage Japanese Kokeshi dolls. Sold individually. Kokeshi dolls are traditional Japanese wooden dolls characterized by their simple design and lack of arms and legs. They originated in the Tōhoku region in northern Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868). These dolls were originally handmade by woodworkers, known as kijiya, who used leftover materials from making household items. Kokeshi dolls were initially created as children’s toys but later became popular as souvenirs and symbols of hope for a good harvest.
