Produced by Sallingboe in 1981, Model No. 75 is a striking coffee table that combines Danish cabinetmaking with handcrafted ceramic work. The generous circular top is composed of individually laid ceramic tiles arranged in a radial mosaic, creating a surface rich in texture and subtle variation.

The glazed tiles display a beautiful palette of earthy browns, ochres, greens and charcoal tones. No two tiles are exactly alike, giving the tabletop a depth and character that changes with the light. The ceramic surface is framed by a solid wooden surround with carefully executed joinery, while the sturdy solid wood legs provide a warm contrast to the expressive top.

The original brass manufacturer’s plaque remains inset into one of the legs, marked “SALLINGBOE NR. 75” together with the production year 1981, confirming the table’s authenticity and origin.

Geproduceerd door Sallingboe in 1981 is Model No. 75 een indrukwekkende salontafel waarin Deens meubelvakmanschap en ambachtelijk keramiek op fraaie wijze samenkomen. Het royale ronde tafelblad is opgebouwd uit met de hand gelegde keramische tegels in een radiaal mozaïekpatroon, waardoor een oppervlak ontstaat met veel diepte, textuur en karakter.

De geglazuurde tegels tonen een rijk palet van aardetinten, variërend van bruin en oker tot groen en antraciet. Door de subtiele verschillen in kleur en structuur is geen enkele tegel precies hetzelfde, waardoor het blad steeds weer anders oogt afhankelijk van de lichtinval. Het keramische blad wordt omlijst door een massief houten rand met fraai uitgevoerde houtverbindingen, terwijl de stevige massief houten poten voor een warm contrast zorgen.

In één van de poten bevindt zich nog het originele messing fabrieksplaatje met de markering “SALLINGBOE NR. 75”en het productiejaar 1981, waarmee de herkomst en authenticiteit van de tafel worden bevestigd.
