Mid-Century Rosewood Drop-Front Cabinet, Unknown, Scandinavia, 1960s

This elegant mid-century cabinet combines compact proportions with practical storage and the rich character of beautifully figured rosewood. The clean lines, slender tapered legs and restrained detailing make it a versatile piece that feels equally at home in both modern and vintage interiors.

The upper section features a drop-front door that opens to reveal a thoughtfully arranged interior with several compartments and shelves, making it ideal as a drinks cabinet, compact secretary or hallway cabinet. Below are two spacious drawers that provide additional concealed storage. The striking rosewood veneer displays deep tones and expressive grain patterns, giving the cabinet warmth and a strong visual presence.

Please note that the original lock is no longer functional. A discreet magnetic catch has been fitted to keep the drop-front securely closed, while the original key has been retained and now serves as a decorative handle.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use. The cabinet has been thoroughly cleaned, checked and treated with a high-quality wood oil to nourish and protect the finish. The original lock is no longer operational; a magnetic catch has been installed to keep the door closed, while the original key is used as a pull.

Mid-Century Palissander Klepkast, Onbekend, Scandinavië, jaren 60

Deze elegante mid-century klepkast combineert een compact formaat met praktische opbergruimte en de warme uitstraling van prachtig getekend palissander. De strakke lijnen, slanke taps toelopende poten en ingetogen detaillering maken het tot een veelzijdig meubel dat moeiteloos past in zowel een modern als een vintage interieur.

Achter de klep bevindt zich een doordacht ingedeeld interieur met verschillende vakken en legplanken. Hierdoor is de kast uitstekend geschikt als barkast, compacte secretaire of stijlvol halmeubel. Onderin bieden twee ruime lades extra afgesloten opbergruimte. Het palissanderfineer heeft een bijzonder levendige nerf met diepe, warme kleurnuances die het meubel veel karakter geven.

Het oorspronkelijke slot functioneert niet meer. Daarom is een onzichtbare magneetsluiting geplaatst om de klep netjes gesloten te houden. De originele sleutel is behouden en dient nu als decoratieve greep.

Conditie: Zeer goede vintage staat met lichte gebruikssporen passend bij de leeftijd. De kast is volledig gereinigd, gecontroleerd en behandeld met hoogwaardige meubelhoutolie om het hout te voeden en te beschermen. Het originele slot is niet meer functioneel; een magneetsluiting houdt de klep gesloten en de originele sleutel wordt gebruikt als greep.

Courier costs are not calculated automatically, as they depend on the destination and the size of the item. Once your order has been placed, I'll get in touch with you to discuss the available transport options and provide a quotation before anything is arranged.
