This striking floor vase by Jasba is a fine example of West German ceramics from the 1960s. The tall cylindrical form is finished with a richly textured glaze in deep red and dark blue-black, creating a dramatic contrast that changes beautifully with the light.

The vertical relief enhances the height of the vase while giving the surface a strong tactile quality. Combined with the glossy finish and bold colour palette, the design has a sculptural presence that makes it equally impressive with or without flowers.

The underside retains the original Jasba 1 529-45 model marking.

Deze opvallende vloervaas van Jasba is een prachtig voorbeeld van West-Duitse keramiek uit de jaren zestig. De hoge cilindervorm is afgewerkt met een rijk gestructureerd glazuur in dieprood en donker blauwzwart, waardoor een krachtig kleurcontrast ontstaat dat afhankelijk van het licht steeds een andere uitstraling krijgt.

Het verticale reliëf benadrukt de hoogte van de vaas en geeft het oppervlak een mooie tactiele kwaliteit. In combinatie met het glanzende glazuur en het uitgesproken kleurgebruik ontstaat een sculpturaal object dat zowel met als zonder bloemen uitstekend tot zijn recht komt.

Aan de onderzijde is de originele modelmarkering Jasba 1 529-45 nog aanwezig.
