The frame is made from solid teak, with vertical elements that extend slightly beyond the horizontal rails and give the piece its distinctive construction.

The mirror glass sits recessed within the frame, creating a subtle shadow line around the edge. The warm teak shows a fine natural grain, while the original black metal hanging chain adds a practical detail without disturbing the simplicity of the design.

The original “Gangsø – Made in Denmark” label is still present, together with the AM quality-control sticker on the glass. Its modest proportions make it particularly easy to place in a hallway, bedroom or bathroom.

Condition
The mirror is in good vintage condition with light signs of age and use. The teak frame shows a few small marks, while the mirror glass remains clear with minor age-related wear. It has been thoroughly cleaned, carefully checked and treated with high-quality wood oil.

Deze compacte wandspiegel van Gangsø heeft de strakke, architectonische uitstraling die zo kenmerkend is voor Scandinavisch design uit de jaren zestig. Het frame is uitgevoerd in massief teak, waarbij de verticale stijlen iets voorbij de horizontale delen doorlopen. Juist dat kleine detail geeft de spiegel zijn herkenbare vorm.

Het spiegelglas ligt verdiept in het frame, waardoor rondom een subtiele schaduwlijn ontstaat. Het teak heeft een warme kleur en een rustige natuurlijke houttekening. De originele zwarte metalen ophangketting is nog aanwezig en vormt een functioneel detail zonder afbreuk te doen aan het eenvoudige ontwerp.

Ook het originele “Gangsø – Made in Denmark” label en de AM-kwaliteitssticker op het glas zijn behouden gebleven. Dankzij het compacte formaat laat de spiegel zich makkelijk plaatsen in een hal, slaapkamer of badkamer.

Conditie
De spiegel verkeert in een goede vintage staat met lichte gebruikssporen passend bij de leeftijd. Het teakhouten frame vertoont enkele kleine markeringen en het spiegelglas is helder met lichte ouderdomssporen. De spiegel is volledig gereinigd, zorgvuldig gecontroleerd en behandeld met hoogwaardige houtolie.
