Gunni Omann

Gunni Omann was a Danish furniture designer known for his elegant mid-century furniture. He worked closely with the family-owned manufacturer Omann Jun. and designed sideboards, desks and other storage furniture for the company.

His designs combine clean lines with carefully considered details. Omann often worked with teak and rosewood. Sculpted wooden handles, well-proportioned drawers and refined bases give his furniture a distinctive character.

The Model 18 and Model 21 sideboards rank among his best-known designs. Both combine generous storage with a restrained and elegant appearance. His work reflects the strong relationship between design and cabinetmaking that shaped Danish furniture during the 1950s and 1960s.
