Carl Hansen & Søn

Carl Hansen & Søn is a Danish furniture manufacturer founded in 1908. The company became internationally recognised for combining traditional cabinetmaking with influential Danish modern design.

Its long collaboration with Hans J. Wegner began in 1949 and produced some of the most celebrated furniture of the period. Designs such as the CH24 Wishbone Chair, CH25 lounge chair and CH33 dining chair combine functional construction with distinctive sculptural details.

Carl Hansen & Søn has also produced furniture by designers including Børge Mogensen, Kaare Klint and Ole Wanscher. Natural materials such as solid wood, paper cord and leather play an important role throughout its collections.
