Aksel Kjersgaard

Aksel Kjersgaard was a Danish furniture manufacturer known for refined wooden furniture from the mid-20th century. The company produced pieces that reflect the clean proportions, careful detailing and natural materials associated with Danish modern design.

Based in Odder, Denmark, the company worked with designers including Kai Kristiansen and developed a strong reputation for well-made furniture in teak, rosewood and other woods. Mirrors, cabinets, tables and hallway furniture form an important part of its production.

Many pieces feature understated forms and carefully finished wooden details. Rather than relying on decoration, the designs use proportion, joinery and the natural grain of the timber to create their distinctive appearance.

Vintage Aksel Kjersgaard furniture remains appreciated for its restrained design and quality construction. Explore available original pieces from this Danish manufacturer in our collection.
