Dressing Table, Denmark, 1960s

This elegant Danish dressing table is a wonderful example of the thoughtful functionality that characterises Scandinavian furniture from the mid-century period. At first glance, it presents itself as a refined compact desk, while a cleverly concealed mirror transforms it into a practical vanity in seconds.

Crafted in warm teak, the cabinet features a raised upper section with open compartments and two small drawers for organising everyday essentials. The lower section provides generous storage through a series of larger drawers, all fitted with beautifully sculpted wooden handles. The central drawer retains its original lock, while the softly curved sides, clean lines and slender tapered legs give the piece its unmistakable Danish character.

Equally suited as a dressing table, writing desk or multifunctional storage piece, it offers practical versatility without compromising on elegant design.

Kaptafel, Denemarken, Jaren 60
