A tall Danish chest of drawers from the 1960s, combining generous storage with a restrained and elegant mid-century profile. The cabinet is arranged with six full-width drawers, each fitted with a pair of sculpted wooden pulls that sit beautifully against the richly figured teak fronts.

The drawer fronts display a particularly expressive grain, with broad flowing patterns running across the width of the cabinet. The upper drawer is fitted with its original lock, while the drawer boxes are constructed in solid wood with traditional joinery. Raised edges along the top and the slender tapered legs give the otherwise substantial piece a light and well-balanced appearance.

Its relatively narrow footprint makes the chest especially practical for bedrooms, hallways or smaller interiors, while the six drawers provide substantial storage. The combination of warm teak, sculpted handles and clean proportions gives the piece a strong but understated Scandinavian character.

Deense Teakhouten Ladekast, Denemarken, jaren 60

Een hoge Deense ladekast uit de jaren 60, waarin royale opbergruimte wordt gecombineerd met een ingetogen en elegant mid-century silhouet. De kast beschikt over zes brede lades, elk voorzien van twee sculpturale houten grepen die mooi afsteken tegen de rijk getekende teakfronten.

De ladefronten tonen een bijzonder levendige nerftekening, met brede vloeiende patronen over de volledige breedte van de kast. De bovenste lade is voorzien van het originele slot, terwijl de ladebakken in massief hout zijn uitgevoerd met traditionele houtverbindingen. De licht opstaande randen langs het bovenblad en de slanke taps toelopende poten geven de kast ondanks het royale formaat een luchtige en uitgebalanceerde uitstraling.

Dankzij de relatief compacte breedte is de kast zeer geschikt voor een slaapkamer, hal of kleinere ruimte, terwijl de zes lades veel praktische opbergruimte bieden. De combinatie van warm teak, sculpturale grepen en heldere verhoudingen geeft het geheel een sterk maar rustig Scandinavisch karakter.
