This elegant coffee table by CFC Silkeborg is a beautiful example of Danish mid-century craftsmanship. Executed in richly figured rosewood, the tabletop displays striking symmetrical grain patterns that immediately draw the eye. The clean proportions, softly rounded corners and slender tapered legs give the table a refined, understated presence.

A distinctive feature is the pair of pull-out side leaves concealed beneath the tabletop. One is finished in matching rosewood veneer, allowing the surface to be extended seamlessly, while the other features a contrasting black laminate, providing a practical surface for serving drinks or placing warm items. Deze elegante salontafel van CFC Silkeborg is een prachtig voorbeeld van Deens meubelvakmanschap uit de jaren 60. Het tafelblad is uitgevoerd in fraai getekend palissander en laat een opvallend symmetrische houttekening zien die direct in het oog springt. De strakke verhoudingen, subtiel afgeronde hoeken en slanke taps toelopende poten geven de tafel een verfijnde, rustige uitstraling.

Een bijzonder detail zijn de twee uitschuifbare zijbladen die onder het blad zijn weggewerkt. Eén blad is afgewerkt in bijpassend palissanderfineer, waardoor het tafeloppervlak naadloos kan worden vergroot. Het andere blad is uitgevoerd in zwart laminaat en vormt een praktische ondergrond voor bijvoorbeeld glazen of warme voorwerpen. Een doordachte oplossing waarin functionaliteit en elegantie samenkomen.
